  1. There is not a single terrorist group which is Salafist as Salafi by very definition is against extremism.

There is a common misconception that Salafi/Wahhabi ideology is responsible for terrorism/extremism however there is no proof whatsoever rather it is due to lack of knowledge of Islamic ideologies amongst most of the so called experts who spread this misinformation knowingly or unknowingly.

It is true that Saudi is a Salafi State. Now the term wahhabi is a term given to salafis by opponents of salafi ideology (ie in a negative way). In addition to it, it is also used to refer to wide range of ideologies by their ideological opponents. So we have for example barelwis calling deobandis as wahhabis though they dont follow the wahhabi/salafi ideology.

If you havent heard about even 1 of the above scholars then it means you are unaware of salafi/wahhabi ideology. Ask any Salafi who are the leading salafi scholars of today and he will mention Sheikh Bin Baz, Sheikh Naseeruddin Albani, Sheikh Uthaymeen, Sheikh Fawzan etc. And all scholars without any difference in opinion unequivocally have denounced these terrorists. If Saudi is wahhabi/salafi and if terrorists are also wahhabi/salafi why has ISIS/Al Qaeda attacked saudi ? In fact there were 2–3 attacks just last week linked to ISIS in Saudi. Over the last 1 year there has been 4–5 attacks on saudi by ISIS.

Saudi was one of the first country to ban Al Qaeda & ISIS and the saudi scholars had denounced the terrorists when these terrorists had not yet become global phenomena. Leaders of ISIS, Al Qaeda and other terrorists have called Saudi rulers as infidels.

No Wahhabi/Salafi Islamic Scholar has ever claimed that all sufis or all shias or all barelwis are kaafirs. The problem is that those who made such claims can even quote the name of 1 salafi scholar.
