No, else then he will cease to be a muslim.

Quran does not go against any established scientific fact. Secondly, more Barbaric things are done by those countries that are scientifically more advanced than otherwise.

Hence, Barbaric acts are not only stemming from bizarre beliefs rather they are also stemming from wicked, selfish and self centered mindset and I feel the later is more at fault than the former going by the historical evidence.
