This question is not very relevant because Quran is not a book of science. Also, some scientific facts mentioned in the Quran might have preceded it…

However the purpose of scientific facts mentioned in the Quran are just meant for mankind to reflect on the universe and things around him and to realize the bounties of their lord so that he can show gratitude.

These scientific facts are not meant to be the foundational basis for inviting others to Islam or to prove that Quran is word of Allah. Quran does not need science to support its divinity, neither is Quran a book of science.

Quran has to be interpreted as per the understanding of the salafs (pious predecessors) and their followers and you will notice the simplicity, certainty and beauty in the explanation from the Salaf, the absence of takalluf (pretentiousness and unnecessary burden in explanation) and the absence of pretending to be intellectual and sophisticated and the absence of pretending to be rooted in the worldly sciences….
