Who Is Considered the Sleaziest Prophet

Who is the sleaziest religious prophet according to critics? - A provocative question raised by critics about which prophet is seen most negatively, and how Muslims respond. :::

Answer:

I think such questions are inherently wrong and are made to defame religion and religious personalities. Neither does it serve any real purpose apart from verbal slug-fest with many criticizing the prophets of their religious adversaries, all decency be damned, exaggeration and falsehood rules.

Being a Muslim I was pained to see many people making wild claims against Prophet PBUH and copy pasting from Islamophobic websites which they took to be as gospel truth. Common sense says that to learn about Islam we need to refer to Islamic scriptures and islamic scholars not websites of islamophobes. Though I can respond to all the accusations made against prophet PBUH I would select the 2 which are most common in interest of time and to keep my post short.

I. Regarding AGE of marriage to mother Aisha R.A

In Islam the minimum marriageable age limit is puberty.

Whereas in today’s time there is age limit in marriage (which is unscientific) which varies from country to country - in Islam the girls maturity is the criteria for marriage which is more scientific basis for deciding the marriageable age.

“Al-Dawudi said: “And Aishah’s body had been matured. [i.e. reached ‘good Youthfulness’ (Shabaaban husna)] – may Allah be pleased with her“ (“Sharh al-Nawawi” 9/207 [Explanation of Sahih Muslim]).

Aisha said: “When a girl [jaariyah] reaches [balaghat] 9 years old [tis’a sineen] , then she is [fa hiyya] a woman [imra’ah] ” (Recorded in Sunan al “Tirmidhi”, Kitab al Nikah [Book on Marriage] 1027).

Malik (Ibn Anas), Imam Abu Hanifa and Ash-Shafi’ie (ALL respected scholars of Islam) have said: A Restriction Limit [arabic: hadd] (should be placed between marriage partners until maturity) that is able for (tuTeeq = able to handle) Sexual intercourse. (al jamaa’)

Al-Tirmidhi has narrated under a Hadith in his collection’s Book of Marriage, Chapter 18. It goes as: Sayyidah Aisha said: ‘When a girl is nine years old, she is a woman (meaning, she has attained puberty).’ (Tirmidhi, Hadith 1109)

She herself says:‘My mother intended to make me fat to send me to the (house of) the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). But nothing which he desired benefited me till she gave me cucumber with fresh dates to eat. Then I became fat as good (as she desired).’ (Abu Dawud, Hadith 3903. Albani classified it as Sahih)

So Aisha Radhiallahu anha married prophet while she was 6 yrs of age - however marriage was not consummated until she reached 9 the reason being that they waited for her to attain maturity.

So we have narrations from Islamic sources which state that marriage was consummated when she was 9 as they were waiting for her to attain puberty.

Even Aisha R.A the one who married prophet at 9 years herself states that she had attained puberty…

so point is either you accept both (ie marriage & attainment of puberty) OR you reject both as both are from Islamic sources

…you cant pick half of it and leave half and then use imagination to slander prophet PBUH and if you do then you should not complain when people rightfully call you an islamophobe.

II. History of Prophet PBUH & his marriage to Safiya R.A

ISLAMOPHOBIC CLAIMS:

“…………………Muhammad selected Safiyya. The History of Al-Tabari, volume 39 pg 185 documents this:

His own companions feared for his life because he spent the night raping a (married) woman whose entire family he had slaughtered only a couple of hours before.

………………………..”

RESPONSE TO ISLAMOPHOBIC CLAIMS

A) She was willing for the marriage

B) Prophet PBUH explained to her the reasons for battle due to which her husband and father were killed.

C) Prophet PBUH gave her choice of marriage vs freedom

D) Prophet PBUH did not immediately consummate marriage

The above clearly counters the islamophobic claims that: “….. he spent the night raping a (married) woman whose entire family he had slaughtered only a couple of hours before…..”

Another point to note is that even after the death of prophet PBUH she continued to be devout Muslim.

So point is that just by copy pasting from Islamophobic websites people start thinking that they have become knowledgeable enough about Islam to pass judgement on Prophet PBUH.

Better would be to either gain knowledge first before saying something or to abstain instead of confusing others.
