I would suggest that you should NOT marry a muslim guy if you are a hindu. The ideological and cultural differences are too much to handle for most people & the societal pressures and prejudices takes its toll and slowly makes the love fizzle out. I have seen few examples from near friends and relatives and it has never ended well.

Secondly Islam is against marriage between muslims and non-muslims; the only exception being people of the book i.e jews & christians.

In my view the only scenario when this can be a good or wise decision is when you study about islamic religion and genuinely believe / accept it as true religion and become a practicing muslim out of your own free will (and not because of the purpose of marriage) and convince your parents about your new found religion / faith. After that if you decide to marry muslim guy it wont be shock for anyone including your family.
