Why Does Allah Praise Himself in the Quran

Answer:

O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allâh, but Allâh is Rich (Free of all wants and needs), Worthy of all praise. (Fatir 35:15)

That you are able to ask this question and still live in the universe created by him and everything within it and breathe in fresh air is proof enough that he is not insecure, rather it is you who is insecure because you are asking such a question instead of show gratitude for all that he has provided.

And if all the trees on the earth were pens and the sea (were ink wherewith to write), with seven seas behind it to add to its (supply), yet the Words of Allâh would not be exhausted. Verily, Allâh is All­Mighty, All­Wise. (Luqman 31:27)

Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind). “If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it for its aid.” (Al-Kahf 18:109)

You should remember that we cant ask him questions, rather it is we who need to answer for our deeds. His attributes are mentioned so that we may give thought and obey him in following the right path which is again for our own benefit.
